Digital Library
Explores new technologies and digital developments to deliver innovation and new services within the library. Areas of focus are collections discovery, use of new technologies in library focused services, digitisation, and delivers digital scholarship projects and technological support for long-term preservation of digital material both research data and digital collections.
Library & University Collections (L&UC)
Library & University Collections Division has an annual turnover of £10m and is supported by 150 staff. It provides over 3.5 million books and 60 kilometres of Special Collections, Museum and Art Collections, along with more than 28,000 e-journals and 300,000 e-books. The collections are made available online and through the recently redeveloped £60m Main Library and nine other library sites. Together, this prestigious collection along with modern library buildings generates 2 million visits per year to the Main Library alone. In addition the Library incorporates highly-regarded services to the public and to the University, such as the Centre for Research Collections and the University Historic Musical Instrument Collection - and gives leadership and oversight for all the University's museums and galleries.

Information Services Group
The Information Services Group (ISG) is one of three professional services groups within the University of Edinburgh.
The group comprises nine distinct directorates and over 700 staff who support the University's students, academics, researchers and colleagues, as well as members of the public, by supplying IT infrastructure, IT services and information security, library services, museums and collections, learning and teaching technologies & services, digital skills training and support, web services, hardware and software management and remote learning capabilities. The Group consists of external units that provide products and services to the wider research and education sectors. The group is also a contributor to, and deliverer of, the University's wider strategy in areas such as digital transformation, data driven innovation and online & distance learning.
